How It Works

Civic hacking across Oakland

Starting at 9 AM on June 6, 2015, hundreds of people from across neighborhoods in Oakland will come together for National Day of Civic Hacking.

Five Neighborhoods will have a designated place (mostly cafes) to meet and join the movement.

Anyone can participate; you don’t have to be an expert in technology, you just have to care about your neighborhood and community.

Share your project, ideas, progress and more with people all across Oaktown by using #OakEverywhere on Twitter or Instagram

There will then be a (hosted) ending party at 6:00 PM at SomaR Bar in Uptown Oakland where you can show off your day's work and meet everyone else that was hacking for national day!
